Meet Our Advisory Board
The Pan African Youth Institute's Board of Advisors' principal goal is to protect and strengthen PAYI's excellence as an independent, nonpartisan, and intellectually rigorous youth policy research organization that contributes to the general progress of the youth and the entire society. The Advisory Board comprises a diverse group of distinguished personalities, industry leaders and academic scholars.
Prof. Caroline S. Hossein
Board Chair
Caroline Shenaz Hossein is Associate Professor of Business & Society in the Department of Social Science at York University in Toronto, Canada. She is the Founder of the Diverse Solidarity Economies (DiSE) Collective. Author of Politicized Microfinance: Money, power and violence in the Black Americas (University of Toronto Press, 2016)–winner of the 2019 Suraj Mal and Shyama Devi Argawal Book prize from the International Feminist Economics Association and co-winner of the 2018 Du Bois Distinguished Book Award. She is the editor of The Black Social Economy: Exploring community-based diverse markets (Palgrave Macmillan, 2018) and co-author of Business & Society: A Critical Introduction (Zed, 2017). Currently she is working on her fourth book project, Mutual Aid Groups among Immigrant Women and a documentary on cooperatives by Black Canadian women. She holds a PhD in Political Science (University of Toronto), an MPA (Cornell University), an LL.B (University of Kent at Canterbury) and BA (Saint Mary’s University, Halifax). Dr. Hossein holds a 2017-20 Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)’s Insight Development Grant for a project titled ‘African Origins in the Social Economy’ and 2018 Early Researcher Award from the Ontario government examining social innovation among the African diaspora and racialized small businesses. She has held visiting fellowships from IDS-University of Guyana, Inter-University in Haiti, University of West Indies/Mona, Jamaica, Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia and Jadavapur University in Kolkata, India. Williams Clinton APPOH, a youth advocate with special interest in youth development, empowerment, civic participation and non-governmental organizational development is also an entrepreneur, trainer, tech lover and agric enthusiast. He is the founder of The MAPPOH Group and MAPPOH Technologies (formerly StarGrow Technologies).
Williams Clinton has over 15 years combined experience with local and multinational firms and also running his own businesses under the MAPPOH Group in the corporate, educational and Technological fields. He volunteers with the UN Online Volunteers, Walk The Talk Group and other local NGOs. Williams participated in the World Bank Essay Competitions- cohorts 2007/2008/2009, Ghana UN Models Cohort 5, YALI RLC West Africa and others. He is also a KIC AgriTechie (powered by Kosmos Energy-Ghana) where his team worn an unofficial contract while presenting their first business pitch on stage; the first ever and the only team to have achieved such feet so far in the history of KIC’s AgriTech Challenge.
Williams holds a Master of Business Administration (Mini) from Chicago Institute of Business, USA, was in University of Ghana for his BA in Economics and Sociology,* Diplomas in Web Development, Digital and Social Media Marketing from Shaw Academy UK and a Certificate in Project Management and Community Development from Ghana School of Governance and Leadership (now Accra Business School).
He is currently the Managing Partner of MAPPOH Technologies, Member of the Academic Board and Tech Lecturer for Pastoral Theological Seminary, Chief Technology Officer for AGRIVIMS, Media Manager-Africa and IT & Communication Director-Ghana for Afro Science Foundation among others.
Dr. Patricia Boulogne

Dr. Patricia Boulogne, DC, CCSP, AP, CFMP, Speak, Author
A science-based wellness expert, Dr. Boulogne is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Coach, Chiropractor, Acupuncture Physician, Speaker, and Author. She has helped thousands of people in the last 3.5 decades to stop adapting their lifestyles to pain, and chronic problems by focusing on the whole person. The result is that her clients/patients, find out the WHY and the CAUSE of the problem, and identify the starting point: what, why, where and how to begin their health journey to live longer, better, and healthier. Dr. Boulogne makes sense of complex, confusing, and challenging problems, and simplifies them so people can get unstuck and get the solutions they need to thrive in their health. She is the founder and principle of AskDrPat ~ Health Team Network, a company dedicated to skyrocketing health, lifestyle, mindsets with strategies and programs that make sense, and help you age gracefully, think, move, and feel better, live longer, and happier!
Dinah Mark-Boye
Advisory Board Secretary
Ms. Dinah Mark-Boye holds a BSc, Human Resource Management from Central
University and an HND, Secretaryship and Management Studies from the Ho Technical
University (then Ho Polytechnic)
Dinah is currently managing the call center of Lema Press; attending to general
enquiries and complaints of customers and reporting to the appropriate channel; and
receiving and processing orders as requested from customers. She has vast experience
in her field serving as Customer Service Representative at Teletech Ghana Ltd for
Vodafone Ghana and Tigo Ghana Ltd (now AirtellTigo).Before then; she also served as
Administrative Assistant, Mobilization Officer and Records Officer for other
organizations.
During her university days, she served in various students’ leadership positions
including General Secretary – AGCM Ho Polytechnic, Vice – President, and Secretary –
Good News Hostel Ho Polytechnic and Member Women Commission Committee.
